In his review on allmusic.com John Bush summarizes: "Yes, it's a bit of a shame that the pair still hadn't released an album of own-productions, but with (re)mix albums this stunning and accomplished, Kruder & Dorfmeister hardly needed one to gain respect." The mentioned lack has finally been made good with the release of Kruder & Dorfmeister - 1995.

What an incredible crystal clear sound.
I got used only to the CD untill now. CD sound is rubbish. This records show for what reason vinyl has survived for so long.

Really great vinyl issue! All five discs are flawless. And the sound - wow! Smooth but powerful, warm and brillant at the same time. Bass is deep, but never hurts, it's more about energy. With a good stereo, one can bath in the sound of this records. Fantastic.
Also missing sides G & H funnily enough. Please message me if you have and are willing to sell

Not sure whats going on with the guys packing and printing these “ collectors items” they must be stoned.
I got no record 1 (A/B) and 2 (C/D) plus as an “added bonus” side I (Record 5) labeled i on both sides.
Ive gotta say using a tri fold cover for a 5 album high value item like this is just plain foolish.
Fumbling around bending covers trying to put it back together is just plain wrong.
Theres got to be a better “book” style design for each record to fit.
Tri fold is cheap and lazy on the manufactures part for a “premium” product.
Edited 6 months agoOne of those albums you keep seeing in record forum feeds - and yes the stories are all true - a definitive audiophile reference recording. If you love Faithless / Massive Attack’s Mezzanine, or Air’s Moon Safari, you’ll be at home with this one. The 5LP set gives each and every track plenty of room to breathe. Bernie has done a great job on this release, only tweaking what needed to be, without changing the intent of the recording. Splash your cash on this one, while it is still affordable.

Wem diese Musik nicht gefällt, hat einfach keinen Sinn für gute Musik, und sollte besser zu Volksmusik wechseln. So einfach ist das!

My copy sounds outstanding. Extremely dynamic and almost zero surface noise after I cleaned it. Can't recommend this enough
