I first heard this on Key 103, Manchester back in March 1996, after it was first released during 1995 (I was still only 16 at that point), takes me right back to my first year in college and when the world was a more simpler place etc!
Happy times!referencing I See You (12") RTD 176.1776.0

This is the UK release with a rare Bidi Bidi Do You Wanna Dance (1995 Version) on it. This has not been released on the original German release.referencing I See You (12") RTD 176.1776.0
The great track nestled inside this record is Rhythm & Drums. The robotic voices at the start kicks off everything, leading into the first breakdown. This consists of a fabulous staccato synth riff and another good synth sound that I always mistake for a well played trumpet! The middle section has a more serious bassline synth and the beat itself is pounding but not as hard as a Gabber kick. As an Australian, it's nice to hear a didgeridoo sample being used throughout. The track was popular in the Australian rave scene and was subsequently released here as a CD single. I heard General Base play once on my local radio station during his one and only Australian tour in 1995. Classic German rave music.

In comparison with the maxi single this release turned to be partly dissapointment. I was excited when i found this vinyl and my excitement grew more in the sight of the remixers, Perplexer and Sequential One while GB stands for General Base. Starting with the A side. This tribal kind remix starts with drum melody and then the only vocal part you are listening to is a sexual sigh aaahhhhh and the dupdidupdidup part. I didn't understand the sexual meaning. Perhaps if the track was named "I feel you" instead of "I see you" it could make sense. I feel you, i touch you, love is in the air, ok. But it's named I see you. Didn't and still don't understand the use of the sigh. Even the tempo is slower than any other song written by Perplexer. I listened to it twice only to write this review.
In the B side we have the SQ1 remix a quite energetic track with the only thing reminding of the original female vocals being one phrase "I see you". It's the fastest song of all. The sequence melody in this remix is totally different with flactuation and two submelodies running in the back. A decent track but still nothing special about it. The GB remix is something like the 12" version because it sounds so. Same female and male vocals and also the sequence melody is quite familiar. In my opinion the best remix is the GB one with second the SQ1's. I didn't like at all the Perplexer remix, but listen to it, so you can draw your own conclusions.
