- I have one of these Specialty pressings with the lacquers cut by Joe Brescia at MCR. My copy is VG, but it is still one of the best sounding records in my entire collection. No hyperbole. It's loud while still being very clear and defined. Granted, The Dictators were (faster and) louder than most, so that allows the music to overcome any surface noise the scuffs would create, but still. The disc has visible groovewear in a few spots, but zero distortion anywhere. I cannot imagine how a NM copy would sound. And it's not like my expectations were just low when I saw its condition, which resulted in me thinking it was playing better than it actually was. I have replayed it multiple times over the years, each time with very high expectations, and it has always met them!
