Notes
Limited to 1000 copies.
Both tracks feature several index points, usually every 5 minutes. However they are considered one musical piece (per CD) as on a lot of other FAX CD releases.
"The music originated instinctively whilst playing live.
There was no concept for the composition before and a kaleidoscope of sounds stemming from the given instruments.
The sensitive process of life composing depends on a large number of environmental influences. I would like to thank everybody at the Melkweg for providing the perfect environment for my life-appearance [sic!] in Amsterdam."

Recorded and composed live at the Fuse in Brussels on October 1st, 1994 from 00:45 am to 1.35 am and at the Melkweg in Amsterdam on October 8th, 1994 from 00:30 am to 1:30 am.

Reviews
- Edited 4 years agoNamlook IX is my other most favorite Namlook CD (along with Namlook VII). Hard to believe it's about 62 1/2 minutes long. Like Namlook VII, it goes by so quickly (for me). Parts of it remind me of whale-song, while other parts remind me of traveling on a road in Turkey, going past a long line of camels. Like Namlook VII, there are samples, and on both CDs, the samples aren't obnoxiously in your face. They're more like brief videos going past you as you listen to the CD. I've owned three copies of this CD already. Not out of greediness or because of its value as a collector's item, but because the first copy was stolen (along the portable CD player it was in) and the second copy got worn out from being played over and over. The third copy was purchased, via Ebay auction, from a seller in Scotland. I was shocked when it arrived in the mail and it was still wrapped in plastic. The previous owner had never opened it and listened to it. Well, that changed with me. I promptly removed the plastic and listened to it. I have other live Namlook CDs, but these two are my favorites. Namlook V (Reality), X (Monolith) and XIII (License to Chill) are almost as good, along with Namlook (Astrogator) and Namlook II (Dutch Side of the Milky Way).
