Reviews
- Edited 6 years agoThis is supposed to be an Album, but actually it's a sort of Maxi-Single. As all tracks are just mixes \ variations on the main theme "Bring Me Edelweiss". Track 1 is a short mix, track 2 is extended mix, and other tracks just extract some elements of the title track and give them further explorations. As a result the album gets repetitive and boring while it reaches the end. That's really sad - as first 2 tracks are really hot, and for 1988 (year of original release) they were probably unbelievably hot & fresh. The production on tracks 1 & 2 was probably inspired by such hits as Coldcut's "Beats & Pieces" and remix of Eric B & Rakim's "Paid in Full" + "Pump Up The Volume" by MARRS. They contain all hit elements of the year, such as hip-house beats, house pianos, raps, bizarre samples + scratching on classical music records.
