I have to agree - having bought Senza Volto on release and not really picking up on the significance of Eve Records (ironically as a playing DJ at the time, a bit of a school boy error!) I have revisited it 20 years later and realise the quality of tunes like this (along with Spice and Lord Of the Universe) - in the pantheon of harder house music these three tunes rate amongst the very best. For those looking for an understanding of trance before we were hit by the sledgehammer beauty of Mauro Picotto in 1998 this album (Senzo Volta) is the place to go. .

What can possibly be said about Blow Your Mind, one of Pablo's most euphoric and legendary trance tracks?

Well, it starts off acidic. But you may have guessed that. Then it hits in proper, very psy-trance style.

You cannot be prepared for what comes next.

Trust me.

The most beautiful, uplifting melody is introduced.

It is really one of those melodies that really takes you away, to a special place.

Think along the lines of Flowtation.

The vocal sample kicks in on the buildup, and the release is awesome.

This is pure trance, just before trance made it bigstyle.

This is the pinnacle of the sound of underground trance just before it became too large to ignore.

It's not commercial. Don't assume as much. This is the sound of trance literally months before it received widespread recognition in the pop charts.

It's non-stop, it's pure.
