Notes
The intro speech comes from a conversation between Houston Capcom and Apollo 11 crew just before the first moon landing:
Houston: An ancient legend says a beautiful Chinese girl called Chang-o has been living there for 4000 years. It seems she was banished to the moon because she stole the pill of immortality from her husband. You might also look for her companion, a large Chinese rabbit, who is easy to spot since he is always standing on his hind feet in the shade of a cinnamon tree. The name of the rabbit is not reported.
Collins: Okay, we'll keep a close eye for the bunny girl.
Note the Collins response is not part of the audio in this tune
Sample "That was fucking trippy" including laughter at end of "The Rabbit's Name Was..." is taken from the film "Pulp Fiction"

- I cannot believe The Rabbit's Name Was... is nearly 30 years old now! It's an absolute timeless gem of an Acid Techno record. As a genre, Acid Techno does seem to age like a fine wine compared to many of the other electronic genres of the time
- Edited 17 years agoThe name of the rabbit was not reported, well not until the remix anyway, but this was the legend of a beautiful girl called Chang-Oh who was banished to the moon for stealing the pill of immortality from her husband. We were advised to look out for her companion a large Chinese rabbit who is easy to spot since he is always standing on his hind feet in the shade of a cinnamon tree.
Following a rather bizarre little story intro the bass and kick suddenly hammer into action and for 7 minutes we are treated to one of the best 303 leads in Acid Techno history.
A track that truly defined the emerging sound of the London acid scene.
Watch out for the perpetual laughter loop on the run-out of the vinyl.
The b-side Cool and the Gang was ok (Pulp Fiction sample), but let's face it - it's dwarfed.
