I remember the first time when I heard the title track ‘Through the Hill’ in the movie, Jerry Maguire. Jerry, realizing how much he loves his wife, runs out of the football arena and heads home. The tone and atmosphere set by this track upon this sequence is very touching, almost heart felt. Harold Budd’s fingers tell a story too complex to be understood with words. Such slow and simplistic melody should have its place in some sort of sound museum.
