The second album from the genius behind "Twisted", probably the greatest Goa trance album so far. This is a different album. Not nearly as transcendental or as heavy, this is the more bizarre and gabba side of psychedelia where you are as likely to gibber in giggling idiocy as see Mount Kailash glowing in the far distance. Posford mixes time signatures and styles constantly, so that the tracks do not stay still for any length of time. This is fun, but sometimes it is also irritating if you are not in the mood for a whacky roller coaster. There are even celtic "knees up" moments, as in the final track for instance, that sound like a pixie circle dance and are either hilarious or ridiculous, depending on your state of mind. I could go into more detail, but suffice it to say that whilst this is a very creative record, like many experiments some hit and some miss. So, of course, this is a good and intriguing album bursting with ideas. However, for me "Twisted" is the great album. ~*~
    P. S. - special mention should be made of the fantastic cover art.

This is for me the best (and most psychedelic) dance music album that was ever made and (considering where psychedelic trance is heading today) the best trance album that will ever be made.

All the tracks carry so many different and very psychedelic elements and themes... ..all tracks are unique, no repetition anywhere.. the melodies and layers create an unique atmosphere.. it offers something new every time I listen to it.

Special highlits for me include: Trancespotter(!), Demention(!), Horrorgram(!) and Jiggle of the Sphinx, but ALL tracks are extremely complex and offer a superb musical experience.

10/10 (although no scale can correctly measure the value of this one.)

The long- awaited second LP from 'the guvnor of psytrance'.
All tracks on this LP deserve serious attention to their structure, complexity, if not the uncanny twisted sound of Simon's handiwork. Very distinctive and quite unparalleled, such as flawlessly melting a 3/4 intro into a 4/4 song structure. One of the first and last great LPs from a truly gifted and talented artist.
On the sleeve it notes, "Not all of these albums contain evil vinyl, but some do!". Twisted Records secretly sent out several copies of The Lone Deranger with glitter in the vinyl: Evil vinyl.
