Reviews
- Edited 17 years agoMy first thought was typical, Hard Trance with odd use of the TB303 over the top to create a basically mediocre album. However, nothing could be further from the truth. A*S*Y*S, aka. Frank Ellrich and Kai MacDonald have redefined what I call Acid. They have incorporated Breakbeat and other interesting influences to form this well rounded album. 'Chewing Drum' reminds me of DJ Scot Project's N (No Rougher) or Cosmic Gate's 'Monotune', in the way that the track builds and suddenly stops. It also features the hit 'No More Fucking Rock 'n' Roll' along with the Paul Van Dyk Edit, of course sampling The Prodigy's 'Voodoo People'. The bonus track, 'We Call It Aciiied!' is also a Breakbeat fuelled and shows a different side of the producers talent. A great take on the Acid genre.
