- Lovin' You is a beautiful track but for me it's Every Time He comes Around, such an amazing sultry song, and that guitar!!
- Edited 2 years ago"Lovin' You" is such a beautiful song, so touching, and far and away the high point on this record. I really did not enjoy side A much. Side B, "Perfect Angel" & "Every Time He Comes Around" are much better.
The recording is quite nice. Plenty of layers and interesting percussion. Minnie's whistle register is superb, and her vocal control is outstanding.
Three stars. Recommended. - I bet that Minnie couldn't wait to wash all that sticky ice cream off her hand after the photoshoot, I just hope that it did not attract any wasps that tried to sting her!!
- Stevie Wonder agreed to produce Minnies's 1974 album Perfect Angel, on which he also contributed two songs and played harmonica and keyboards. The popularity of the international hit Lovin' You made her a household name.
- Maya Rudolph's SNL Tribute to her mom's cover.
http://img.ffffound.com/static-data/assets/6/a66148de932c1cd0e6ac8f8653fc2c78e5cf996e_m.gif - Stevie Wonder and (her husband) Richard Rudolph knew exactly what to do with this awesome talent. I wish the concept here lasted over the years...her music became slightly more commercial but ALWAYS contained moments of brilliance to accompany THE MOST AMAZINGLY-RANGED VOICE in history...
There may be better "singers" before or since, but this is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE female vocalist. I remember where I was and what I was doing (even how I reacted) when she passed (way too early---cancer sucks!) . I knew then there will never be another quite like her.
