Reviews
- Reissued on the 31 July so don't pay high prices. Coming out on vinyl too. Can't see the point of that exactly as any surface noise, pops, clicks etc will ruin the experience. Best heard through a decent hi-fi with sub woofers to really capture the low end which at points is devastating. Sounds like you've got earth-moving equipment on a building site next door when you play it loud. A great meditational tool. I listened for an hour or so this afternoon and went to some interesting places.
- Well well.. Actually Mika Vainio was the man who introduced this minimal world to me while ago. And this was one of the first releases I ever purchased from this type of music.
I can understand that why most of the people don't think this as music. It's very minimal, lots of bleeping and stuff. But I have to say that thank god there are people who does this kind of music, because - for example- this album is everything that you can expect from minimalistic music. It's simple, and each time you listen to it you can find different things, different sounds, effects etc. And what's the best thing, this type of music never dies, never gets old. These are not one hit wonders, and you can't get tired to this type of music.
Also in the era of digital music and illegal downloading, we, who really love music, can still enjoy our CD's and vinyls, because without this kind of "alternative electronic" music, I'm sure that physical formats would have been dead for a while.
