RCA Records Pressing Plant, Indianapolis, first pressing, identified by a serifed "I" stamped in runouts. Remainder of runouts stamped.
Orange RCA Victor "dynaflex" labels. RCA logo on jacket.
Issued with a magenta-colored printed inner sleeve with lyrics and photo.
Initial copies came with a full-color poster and a white-on-black sticker on the front stating "David Bowie Poster Enclosed".
Promotional copies have a rectangular approximately 4"×6" sticker marked "PROMOTIONAL ALBUM - NOT FOR SALE" with titles and song timings.
Back sleeve shows the timing for track A2 as 6:55, but the RCA reissues used a shortened 6:09 version (without the "Yeah yeah baby yeah..." coda). The promo sticker timing is shown correctly as 6:09.
Some copies of this release were imported to the UK with a sticker on the back cover:
"Specially imported by RCA RECORDS LTD.
