- Edited 3 years agoI don't think it's accurate to suggest Keith isn't rapping here; nor that the music is merely sub-par....
Although stark and not typically funky NT-style boom-bap biz; the beats provide interest in terms of texture and off-kilter rhythms and if one were to layer the vocals over more traditional hip-hop beats you'd hear Keith's flow and cadence accentuated a lot more. Fundamentally these tracks are raw and gnarly in terms of content and attitude. It's always interesting to see where Keith's head is at and despite his apparent anger/frustration with the scene/industry; you're never too far away from a lyric or imagery that makes you laugh. - It may be rare (and now excessively overpriced) but truthfully it isn't very good. More verbal monologues than actual MCing from KK + the beats are subpar. One for the collectors only IMHO.
