For the record - Boomkat in their own inimtable style describe this as follows: "Hardcore jungle flashback from Demdike Stare, filleting ’93 madness heavily inspired by the cut-up rhythmic psychedelia of Tom & Jerry, Rufige Kru, A Guy Called Gerald,... See full review

My copy (direct from Warp) is fine, no skips - a bit of crackle but not playing this on audiophile rig just a Technics 1200 workhorse with a bog standard DJ cart. This music itself has very heavy bass and the original studio recordings had some unruly... See full review

The album was orginally sequenced with CD in mind as one continous piece. The original vinyl edit mixed up the track listing for practical reasons to fit it to two LPs with minimum loss of fidelity. This LP new version restores the 'correct' running... See full review

I presume you mean the B Side! It wasn’t Beggar &Co, a guy called Dave Lord played the brass parts on this one. https://www.discogs.com/artist/441919-Dave-Lord

The buyers name written on I presume was to discourage scalpers since anyone buying at an inflated price has their copy spoiled by the name of the scalper written on it just to really take the shine off the deal. Not all the singles were sold direct... See full review

Agree. For the price, it would have been nice to pop a replica Hacienda Xmas flexi inside the book!. It does seem the pattern for the deluxe editions is to keep the 12" singles as separate companion releases rather than including those singles on the... See full review

I guess they're sticking with the precedent set by Movement for these new editions - so those of us who only want the bonus audio & video material will have to fork out for another rather opulent box, with beautifully produced but fairly inessential... See full review

This is a good sounding pressing and the music is sublime. It is a shame that whoever produced this reissue decided to add some personal messages to Clint Boon and Alan McGee on the back cover which are utterly irrelevant to this release and detract... See full review

This is decent, a good quality RSD release. They've done a lovely job of reinterpreting the Vaughan Oliver artwork complete with an appropriate Obi strip. Not sure the vomit green Vinyl was necessary but sounds good enough and it's nice to have these... See full review

It appears to be in Mono, on CD at least. I was never sure whether it was deliberate or a mastering error.

I did wonder if I'd received the wrong pressing from the label as the record looks an off-white colour when you remove it from the sleeve. It needs to absorb light for a while and then darken the room and there's yer glowing, psychedelic red vinyl!.... See full review

There was a delay with my order - think they either didn't make enough Obi Strips or they shipped some copies with Obi by mistake - either way my copy was delayed a couple of weeks and my Obi strip is numbered out of 25 - so there is another short... See full review

If you are expecting remasters from the original tapes you're out of luck as some of the tracks are clearly Vinyl rips where tapes couldn't be sourced. 'Kether Hot Knives' is the same vinyl rip that was on the LTM reissue of Sextet and indeed it skips... See full review

I disagree- I've played this on headphones a couple of times,- I don't have the CD but compared the streaming version and the vinyl has definitely got some stereo depth to it, Maybe they added a faux stereo effect in the Mastering? Space Age are of... See full review

It’s from the same firm that have the rights for the Spacemen 3 catalogue and endlessly reissue that on different coloured discs. Feel a bit disloyal for getting this and would happily buy another if Graham can do the authorised version, or better... See full review

I've always liked this record - agree with others who say it's a dry sound - inevitable as it's largely sampled/sequenced but it was hearing this and the previous one that lead me to the Wyatt, Kevin Ayers and the Canterbury scene - and the whole... See full review

This is an absolutely glorious collection of tunes, if you're a fan of any of these artists you will want this one. The LFO track, (apparently the last one they ever did) is stunning and will leave you in a total mess but actually the real highlight... See full review

It's really good stuff - more abstract and instrumental than usual - a bit like Broadcast at times, although there are 3 tunes with Bradford singing but these aren't 'songs' as such - it's experimental stuff. Bought for £10 on the merch stall tonight... See full review

Quote from Uncut magazine March 2018 "We did a years worth of test pressings...we'd do 3 cuts each time as there might be a pop on one. Then instead of doing test pressings, when you get 20 copies, we started doing white label runs. We realised... See full review

Great sleeve but the sound quality varies from passable to pretty unlistenable. 'Clarence in Wonderland' is clearly from the BBC Sessions (but sounds like a 10th generation taped off the radio copy) - and since that's been officially released this is... See full review

The last 3 Cabs albums, this one included, are credited to Kirk/Mallinder but have no vocals and sound suspiciously similar to Richard H.Kirk's solo albums of the same era so I'm not sure what Mal's input was or if it was just a contractural thing... See full review

The sound problem on 'Decades' isn't to do with wow and flutter on the tape. You can hear that only the keyboard sounds wobbly whereas the vocals and other instruments stay at a constant pitch. It is either Bernard's synth going out of tune (analogue... See full review

My love for The Telescopes knows no bounds, but not sure why they chose to immortalise this particular show on Vinyl. It sounds like an audience boot at best, and the irritating audience chatter all but drowns out the quieter moments. No faulting the... See full review

This is an excellent quality live recording. I was at this gig - the set was mostly drawn from 'Painting With...' which had mixed reviews. It was an attempt by AC to write short, sharp pop songs which perhaps isn't one of their strengths but the live... See full review
