As Rude Awakening, the alter-ego for DJ Promo, he cuts loose the bounds of the mainstream hardcore. I personally think that DJ Promo is one of the major (and one of the best) promotors of hardcore and it is due to him, amongst others, that hardcore has recovered from the 'commercialisation' a few years ago.

His Rude Awakening projects stands for a mixture of hard industrial techno and hardcore. This album pushes further those boundaries as on the album next to raw pounding techno tracks there are more breakbeat and electro-like tracks. The only thing all tracks have in common is that typical Rude Awakening raw industrial sound.

This definitely puts hardcore forward as a form of electronic music with balls and intelligence, and I hope more people will see hardcore to be taken a bit more serious than the standard harcore tracks that we heard a few years ago....

    forward ever, backward never....
