- Geezer met in Rehab bagged me this from a 'Charity Shop' a decade ago! Lovely surprise.
PRICELESS mix's with some unique tracks + gems included in every one... It's an Antique in own right so not surprised worth over a score.❤ - If you wanna reminisce or get educated in to the early days of jungle you will not find a better album/mix ANYWHERE!! in the world! no mcs just a pure journey fantazia as well as grooverider rap and LTJ really pushed all the boundaries with this album! Oozes Class! a must have or listen. Cd is the best quality to go by worth a buy!
- I take it 'In my soul' never got a release? Just tried searching for it and it only appears on this release. Shame, such a tune .. I suppose a few of the tracks may have been made especially for the album ..
- Not sure why the last track is always credited as The Dream Team- The Shadow. It's SDR & Subsonic- Watch Dis Space Pt. 2. Check the YouTube clips on the Shoebox release ( the clip track names are wrong and reversed so listen to The Feeling).
- I used to have this. Wish I could remember the the name of a tune that had a Star Wars same in it. Think it was this collection but now I'm thinking it might have been a Jungle Mania compilation.
- I had the Tapes years ago and they had no tracks cut as far as I can remember! I love these mixes especially the bukem one. It's a shame about the sound quality on the grooverider mix, tends to hurt the ears when it's turned up higher.
- Please note that track.13 (dj ss - the roll out) on grooverider mix, track.1 (studio pressure - book of changes), track.4 (dope - travelling pt.2) on the bukem mix & track.14 (peshay - world of music) on the rider mix have been digitally removed from this album for future releases.
- Worth it for the Bukem mix alone. He did a lot of near-identical mixes in his career, but I think this one is unique.
- Probably one of the finest jungle mix albums ever commissioned.
Bukems mix is just tearing and harks back to the days when this guy played heavy, emotive music with presence (same goes for any Peshay mixes from the mid 90s).
Serious edge, great selection and all studio quality with no MC - awesome.
Grooverider - again, a highpoint with some unreleased Photek tunes in there - cool echo mixer!
Rap - great tunes, well mixed.
Makes you realise how great the jungle scene was in the mid 90s - the variety of tunes played across these mixes is really refreshing and something that the big names just don't do anymore.
10/10!
