One of my favourite dread-music era LPs and a shame that Raime could not follow it up with more of this kind of tone and weight. Nothing else really grabbing after this one tbh. There was Dread Risk by Yally, but again further Yally proved to be of little intrigue.

The choice of album artwork perfectly sums up the poise and tension of the pieces here. The forms and production allow the bass to consume space while straining and stretching additional sound elements around it in what resolves to a series of stills in taut gloominess.
The record has a silence to it and to me reflects on oppressive aspects of human social nature without leaning on trite narratives and heart-on-sleeve cultural references.

I file this alongside Severe by My Disco which is another one-off dread-music sun-dog.

amazing album! love both albums, actually. Tooth is more friendly, bust still great.
        Hennail 12" is a masterpiece!

I really love the album musically, but the vinyl release is probably the worst pressing of a contemporary (last 10 years) records I own. Despite jumping several times on the C-Side (as others mentioned), mine is crackling and has a lot of surface noise. I have only played the record three times and has been cleaned ever since (it looks crisp and clean for the eye). But it sounds like my parents 1972 Pink Floyd record stored without any protection. A pity.

Any chance someone has the lithograph from the Raime Bandcamp they’d be willing to part with? Or, at least, know of another resource for obtaining it? Many thanks!

Decent album, a bit fake dark but nice to listen to nonetheless. Hints of Lustmord in places, which is defo a good thing. Just not quite as menacing as it thinks it is maybe? I don't know, just something missing which I can't put my finger on.

I think that's a sample of a Bourbonese Qualk track on 'The Walker In Blast And Bottle'. Anyway, that's all I have to contribute. Cheers!

Received my copy and track C1 the needle jumped in multiple places. I have two sets of technics with different cartridges, so tried the other set, and same thing. Bad pressing. Unfortunate, love this album.

Same happened to me. First copy skipping and looping. Ordered an other and that one has the same problem. Bad quality.

I had bad luck with this record - two copies from amazon.de and both side C skipping and looped in several places of first song! Returned to them with claiming money back - pita!

There's a reviewer that says this album's cover is the best part of the release. I have to agree. Being an old fuddy-duddy who has heard a lot of industrial, bleak, dark, creepy or otherwise uncommercial music since the '70s I must say this is a solid reinterpretation / refashioning of bleak/dark/lethargic musical styling. It failed though to 'drop me into' or 'move me' in any way. The best music of any type can grip, divert or lift me but I remained resolutely unmoved. Consistent but unremarkable.
