Supersilent continue their unique brand of jazz with 6, melding the electronic with the organic. "6.1," for instance, wavers between flutes and more harsh sweeps of sound, as a light percussion tries to rein in the chaos. "6.2" has more melancholy to it, bolstered by the mournful trumpet, and "6.3" gets more spacious in its composition before it grows and swells towards grandeur. "6.4" starts off with some reverbed country guitar twang, while "6.5" revels in the feedback and processed guitars. "6.6" ends the album on a much more angelic note, with a high-pitched Sigur Rós-like vocals drifting atop the haze. Quite nice.

This album is one which I treasure most. Highlights are 6.2 (Arve's trumpet playing is simply breathtaking on this one) and 6.4. The latter track really deserves special attention. The quiet build-up which ends in magnificent guitar outbursts. A truly piece of art.

Recorded in 2003. Supersilent is a pseudonym for deathprod. Nicely twisted and manipulated electronic and organic sounds in a vaguely twighlight zone meets film score style. A plethora of sounds and styles all fused together in a very coherent and listenable way. Odd, but good odd.
