Reminds me a lot "of all the things we made" by o.M.D this here is an absolute beautiful record.

I have stated elsewhere, WAVES, is a "heavy" song. What I meant is it is an emotional song, an exceptional one at that. I remember when it came out, I hoped they would do more in the same vein. Their other music could be seen as light, electronic music, often satirical, humorous or surreal.

But then (I think I am right?), they did NO emotional songs after that, as though they were emotionally spent. WAVES was a big success so you'd think they would pursue it with a few songs like it . . .

I like their music. It’s not a criticism, more an observation, because I often thought the same thing afterwards – WAVES seems such an odd exception, a singular testimony.

(Time might be fading my memory and I haven't heard some of the later stuff so tell me if there are other WAVES out there.)

This 12'' contains an absolutely amazing version of 'Game Above My Head', the best version ever IMHO.
But i think it's not only in my opinion because at that time was a great studio job indeed! Incredibly placed in B side, Blancmange liked weird things!
Another remix is edited in That's Love That It Is' but it isn't quite the same thing. I would totally recommend to people who did not live in eighties. One of the best studio works of that period in this style.

Game Above My Head is an incredible track, my favourite Blancmange did.
