Everybody loves this almost... Well I do, too. Still relevant and interesting and impressive 14 years lateroony.

So the STH2065-SC MASTERDISK is 140grams, The STH2065C S60434 DJ is 180grams. I found the 180gram to have less treble and it also lacked a high pitch tingy like sound that the MASTERDISK pressing had throughout. Interestingly the 180gram pressing is more compressed grooves with more dead wax in the center, especially on SIDE A. It is a significant amount different.

Hello there, I bought a 2006 RE which was advertised as a sealed '04 original US press. There seems to be no way to tell between the two versions if they're sealed. Can anyone tell me otherwise as I'd like the better sounding og pressing?

              Thanks

Does anyone else get a "Trout Mask Replica" feel to this album? The Steve Reich piece that's sampled at the beginning of America's Most Blunted was a favorite of Don Van Vliet. Don's buddy, Frank Zappa, is sampled, the bulk of his short but wonderful composition "Sleeping In A Jar." Even the cover of this album even reminds me of TMR. Madlib and MF Doom have a lot of influences, I'm sure they dig Beefheart and Zappa. This album is like the hip hop Trout Mask Replica. Breaking the mold in such a crazy bold way, odd rhythms and funny but thought-provoking lyrics that command attention, mad skills and otherworldly chills by the minute, mixing everything together to put out something enjoyable and truthful released to please millions by the ear-full. How do you do?
