The text Ieee Mitten Menu is clearly derived from the Dutch version of the counting rhyme "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" which goes:

    Iene miene mutte
Tien pond grutten (ten pounds of groat)
Tien pond kaas (ten pounds of cheese)
Iene miene mutte is de baas (is the winner)

If you listen carefully you can hear the "tien pond grutten" :-)

Very interesting EP from Speedy J, which relies on a punkish attitude and, oddly enough, vocals. The Nutt Mix of the title track has a really robotised voice saying who knows or cares what over a distorted broken beat, with wild pitches and sounds getting thrown into the loop from the background. Sounds pretty chaotic and, well, random to me, but I guess that was kind of the point.
The Mint Mix has a female voice spelling out 'ieee mitten menu', or that's how I see it at least, over a somewhat more laid back drum kick, up until around the 04:25 mark, when all of a sudden we're tossed inside a furious tornado of demented, ecstatic, loud and highly disturbing effects. Not a bad idea, though the whole track really comes to life for only around ninety seconds, but goes virtually nowhere for well over four minutes. Too bad, because the final climax showed the potential this one had, and how it could have been a stronger tune if he had elaborated upon the abruptly introduced and quickly interrupted finale.
The big surprise comes with the last track, Fart Essen, which is one of Jochem's most underrated tracks - ever. It's a brief, yet very on point full frontal attack consisting of really massive, uncontrollabe, highly unpredictable and entirely berserk sound patterns. The track seems to start right in the middle of it, and ends in the same manner, leaving you with the "now what the hell was that?" look on your face. Think a track which strikes a balance between the relentless drive of hard techno, the groovy hip hop drum pattern and the crazy and exaggerated array of harsh industrial overtones. If you play it with the bass high up, you will hear that crackling noise, which will only increase the rusty, unpolished and underground touch it has. I love it!
Overall, far from being my favorite Speedy J release, albeit it does have a cult following, but as far as my experiences go, nowadays I only put it on for the amazing Fart Essen.
