What's with people saying the packaging is ugly? This thing is glorious to behold. It's like some ancient artifact from a highly advanced alien civilization.

Yeah this is probably one of the coolest things I own. Impeccably mastered and pressed to the highest standard, with astoundingly slick packaging - if you're observant enough to figure out the puzzle on the labels and sleeves, you can actually tell which side is which without looking at the runouts. I can't say I know another record that comes with its own logic puzzle.

You should spend all of your money on this.

I first bought this as digital files in 2013. Hearing this on vinyl in 2021 is a revelation.

Took me 7 years to get into this one! Seems crazy now but worth the effort.

Finally got ahold of a physical copy of the vinyl. Don't agree at all about the packaging being ugly.
I really love the cover, the box, the art design and all the chosen colours.
Also awesome that it's designed to fit the L-event EP inside too. Slide mine right inside ;)

Autechre really demonstrate their amassed skill with electronic music on this album more than any other. Every detail is altered so much throughout the length of the tracks that I can't tell what they are even doing regardless of how much I listen. This album will provide endless thought and contains all the aural experimentation of previous releases on an even larger scale than before. As previously stated here, the box itself is a very ugly package, much uglier than the photos make it look, but the music inside more than makes up for that.

Brilliant album, that really seems to stand the test of time (not like Oversteps for example)...but that big brown 4LP monolith is a really unattractive physical object.

Thumbs up if you're still listening and considering this album. So dense! Love this one...
