- Just pulled this beauty out of the archives. Steve Bugs finest work for me. I forgot how good it was.
- Edited 8 years agoSteve Bug's 'Sei' remix is a masterpiece. A very deep ascending and descending keys phrase sets in on top of a housey pattern and a pumping bassline. A splash of acid shows up halfway through a distorted minipattern. The breakdown fades out on snare and claps and everything gets going again. Very emotional track to spin very late night or early morning, depending on where you're taking your set. A definite wink to old school clubbers and house cognoscenti.
- Edited 17 years agoA very interesting release that could find its slot in almost any tech-house, deep house or acid house DJ set. To some extent, synth section and atmosphere building-up of "Sei" remind somehow to Laurent Garnier's "Flashback", although "Sei" is less intense, slower and has no vocals whatsoever.
Regardless, "Sei" (in both original and Steve Bug's remix forms) is a wonderful deep house, while "Tigerchild" is less original, retroish and repetitive tech-house tune.
