And Now The Legacy Begins is a tasty strawberry milkshake down to the last drop. The sound of the Dream Warriors is very close to that of De La Soul, though it’s more avantgarde and boasts an even greater amount of wild creativity. Made in the golden (but soon to end) age of unlimited sampling, this album is all about having fun and being funky as hell. Notwithstanding a few moments of too much repetitiveness, this album can be safely regarded a hip-hop masterpiece and should be remastered as soon as possible.
