Devil Doll – The Girl Who Was... Death

Got all the albums on cd back in 2010, but i want more of this band! Some of the best music ever released! Unbelievable heights of composing

We have this same Devil Doll CD as the photos show with the clear inside tray with the text underneath it, but the disc is not by Sony DADC. On the disc, the matrix reads Disctronics 2360004 HG1 4100 15668. So, would that qualify as this release, with a different matrix number and manufacturer? Not sure where to list this or whether I should just create a new entry. Any advise out in Discogs land?

If 500 copies were pressed and all were subsequently destroyed what is the point of this listing ? And how do 9 people own a copy ?

Now we have new pictures added. But could anyone add spine pictures and matrix numbers on vinyl run-off grooves, please?

According to the archival records of Croatia records, 200 copies of this version were ordered in June 1993. The production lacquer was cut on June 24th (as is indicated by the matrix code). The records were pressed without any additional information or printed sleeves, as was the case with almost all custom orders from those last years of vinyl record production at Croatia Records. The master tape was immediately returned to the customer upon the completion of the order (source: public records provided by Croatia records).

In 2018, two copies of this album, without cover surfaced via Discogs from one source. According to Croatia records there was always some surplus of each order and it was customary for the workers in record and cassette tape production to be granted their own copies of everything that was produced, they were rightfully obtained items which are free to be treated or traded like any private item.

This pressing is an exact duplicate of the original version of the album The Girl Who Was... Death as pressed up by Jugoton in 1989 including the 'intro' and 'outro', which were removed from subsequent pressings. Only the matrix code was adapted.

This pressing by Croatia records was part of a custom order by Devil Doll as planned re-release of the original The Girl Who Was... Death album but were recalled (or maybe even destroyed) when Devil Doll decided to remove the 'intro' and 'outro' from the planned re-release. It is unknown how many copies survived over the years.

The original Intro and Outro are not to be found on Youtube till date.

My CD is has cat. n. hg-1 as a catalogue number and the CD is pressed by disctronics. Is this a release currently missing from the database or do I have a wooden eye?

What makes this version different from previous versions listed? There is a fan club edition listed already on Discogs....

Pictures look exactly like the 1993 reissue, including Hurdy Gurdy logo inside gatefold. No evidence of Jugoton records.
