- About the record:
93' saw plenty of action on the garage scene, with the birth of labels like 'Nice N Ripe' & many off-shoots dropping USA garage influenced tracks,
At the time the 'Late Night Slam Jam' & 'Spanks Rednail Dub' got the heavy rotations; in fact this was a big record. The sound was imitated & the style of keys became a staple in garage- house & soon to hit the floors 'speed garage'. All were primarily influenced by US labels like 'Strictly Rhythm', & artists like George Morel.
Worth mentioning this is Orin J Walters (AKA 'Afronaught', head honcho of Bitasweet recordings/Bugz In The Attic member), who had been producing since the early hardcore days & definitely had more than half a clue as to the direction music was taking at the time. I'd call him a pioneer. - wtf, i sold mine during feb of 2019 for a fiver, what happened to prices since then ????? did someone famous play this over and over ?
