This set is a wonderful introduction to Kinks axe man Dave Davies. Everything the man is capable to is represented on these two discs. Early r&b tracks with the Kinks, dylanesque folk tracks, melodic stuff and hard rocking tracks. Some of this material has been on the shelf for years. Even the diehard Kinks fans will discover some new material. The most stunning track is "Climb Your Wall" with its' acoustic guitars and mandolin, which predates Rod Stewart's Maggie Mae with two years! Unbelievable!
