Yeah, don't buy this. Especially now, since his passing has caused the prices to jump. It's an unfortunate pressing. Surface noise galore. No amount of cleaning will fix it. Just a bad pressing. Hopefully we get a 2xLP reissue of it soon.

i got a black copy. not warped, but covered in scuffs and crackly in quieter parts. bummed.

Though, I will say there's a lot of echo to the recording. I don't know if that's the mark of a cheap pressing, or because of the band recording within a monastery. Still, a very cool record.

the pressing is excellent. super clean, flat, balanced, rich, etc. the music is wonderful as well. highly recommended album

Sounds perfect EXCEPT mine has a tiny spot of some sort of residue stuck in a groove or two that I can't seem to get out. Regardless, it only makes a click two or three revolutions, and they're very gentle clicks.

For anyone interested, I think the sound on this reissue is worth the purchase. Sounded great to me. Came in a plastic inner and the disc was remarkably clean.

My copy is super warped. It plays through perfectly well, though. Just hate watching it spin and my needle wobble up and down as if it were in a wave pool. But again, the sound came through greatly.

Clean pressing. My copy sounds beautiful. No surface noise, cracks, pops, hiss, etc. Comes in plastic inner sleeve to prevent scuffing.

My copy is a bit noisy/crackly. But if you turn up the volume, the music does indeed overpower it. I think a solid cleaning will do the trick, cause the disc looks pretty okay, but had lots of dust and slight scuffing from the paper sleeve. Great...

Bought on a whim and it sounds just excellent. Not the faintest hint of any surface noise between tracks. Sick music.
