Reviews
- Edited 4 years agoSounds great and the visual aspect of the color is awesome (mine being yellow, purple, pink, and black on record 1 & black, green, red and blue on the 2nd record). I have to say that 45rpm sounds pretty dope on a lot of songs.
- Just opened a sealed copy. A few loud pops but not enough to compalin about. It sounds really good actually
- I just opened and played a sealed copy from 2014. It has 5 swirled colors and absolutely no noise from color variation on either record. Perfect quality vinyl.
- Edited 9 years agoJust to provide a different perspective than volumegold's review, my experience is exactly the opposite. I purchased mine from the Ghostly Store, and the packaging was excellent - so certainly no splits or aesthetic problems to the packaging at all. The last reviewer doesn't mention who shipped his out - but my experience with using Ghostly has been very positive in the packaging department. As far as sound quality goes, my copy is very quiet. I took another careful listen at high volume this morning after I read this review - My system is modest but certainly not cheap - It's a Pro-Ject RPM Genie turntable with a Sumiko Pearl cart, running into a Musical Surrounding Phonomena II pre-amp, and into my KRK studio monitors - and it sounds beautiful. It should be mentioned that each copy of this record is different... both of my albums are modestly colored, no real abrupt color changes... it's a more subtle effect, so possibly that may make a difference, as the last reviewer can detect sound changes over the the color changes. I cannot at all.
- Edited 9 years agoDisappointed.
After all the hype and delays surrounding this release the end product that spins on my turntable is one of the noisiest pieces of wax I've ever encountered. Very noticeable as it tracks over the more severe colour changes in the beautifully aesthetic piece of psychedelic starburst.
The inners were both split and shockingly packaged, letting this release down even more. I have heard that this is common so, another issue to beware of.
This, in summary is more a piece to be looked at rather than be enjoyed as a sonic sound experience, which lets down the whole idea, in my mind, of a special "one of a kind" vinyl. - anyone have any information regarding delivery dates? the last email i received stated they hoped to fulfill orders by the beginning of june.
