Reviews
- As much as the cover is ugly, the music is good on this cd. the sound is just fantastic (one of the best cd mastering ever). I've been listening to it since the early 90s with as much pleasure as ever. Recommended to any surf music fan.
- I own dozens of surf instrumental comps and this is one I keep coming back to. If you like the classic dreamy side of surf this is awesome. There are some edgy numbers, but if agro-instro is your bag, this probably isn't it.
- Steve Hoffman himself wrote and recorded "Cecilia Ann" for this compilation in 1988; all the rest of the tracks are vintage ones. See https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/cecilia-ann-by-the-pixies-surftones-on-youtube-yes-i-wrote-the-song-with-my-buddy-frosty.272578/
