This is a really sound, well-balanced album from Thomas - some strong highlights for sure but all round very cohesive in terms of its atmosphere which not a lot of 'dance' albums really bother to get right - but like others have stated, i think '2 Step King' and 'The Checker' could have been omitted to make for an even stronger and more cohesive listening on a 2x12 LP. Its not even that these tracks are that bad, although they do feel the most uninspired, but they seem out of place with reference to the albums atmospheric theme.
Besides that footnote, its all positive - outstanding melodious pads galore and beautifully rhythmic as Melchior always is, some of these tracks have such an immersive atmosphere you feel like your on a cosmic voyage, floating weightlessly through time and space (Catharsis, Ascending To Our Solitude, Gimme (Timeless Worlds Of Space) do this best - some of the tracks may have even derived some benefit from playing out longer for this reason. Wats It Mean 2 U & Closer bring the balance and relief as the more upbeat, dance-friendly tracks. But Adriana's Anxieties takes the cake as the crown jewel as it somehow manages to blend what is so intoxicating about the aforementioned spacey, trippy, atmospheric tracks and the more deep and rhythmic tracks. It's charm is irresistible and the vocals that echo throughout and fall away work so well - something Melchior has always managed to perfect

It's rare for me nowadays to find tracks like Adriana's Anxieties which touch me on a profound level. Out-there dreamy deep house which is serious about getting under your skin and not afraid to dive deep into melancholic waters. I'm sure bvdub would've LOVED it ;) Wats It Mean 2 U and Gimme (Timeless Worlds Of Space) are also stellar, tracks are constructed in such an intricate way that you absolutely can't get enough of them and wanna listen again. I'm in love with that deeep spacey ambient pad in the latter.

Finally some music again on Perlon. I used to buy every single release, but after so many of their releases were "tracks" instead of good productions, I lost interest. So for me too, a very happy return to the Perlon label after years of dispiriting Perlon records.

What an album! Soundquality and tracks are just right. Perfect for listening at home or to be played at a bar/club 5/5.

First Perlon record I've bought in years, absolutely fantastic stuff, bravo Thomas, take a bow.
Definite contender for AOTY and I'd also argue it's one the best Minimal records of the last decade.

Honestly, it's a very outstanding album and it could be the best of the year without a doubt. its aesthetics and essences are so real and pure. My details of the album: Beautiful outros from "Catharsis" and ""Gimme (Timeless Worlds Of Space)". The only thing that makes me a little sad is the duration of the tracks, there are songs that fall short for their journey, the clear example is "Wats It Mean 2 U" that I certainly feel that it could have lasted about 3 minutes more and make it more special... anyway Finest spiritual minimal music!. Thank you Thomas!

This album will be a future classic and probably seen as one of the best albums of 2022. I haven’t been this wowed by a minimal album since alcachofa

Great album from the Melch. Nearly every track is just beautiful stuff, with the standout being "Adriana's Anxieties" -- Melch brings all the stuff he's best known for on this one, with heartbreaking melodies and vocal samples along with a killer bass line. One of his best tracks ever without a doubt. The album gets a little bogged down with "2 Step King" and "The Checker" which are surprisingly lame and uninspired for someone with standards as high as Melch; I'm curious to know what others think of these tracks. They aren't terrible, but seem more like cutting room concepts and don't flow with the rest of the album at all. But hey, 9 out of 11 isn't bad, and the other 9 tracks are really stellar in their own right. Best release on Perlon in years, and the best Melchior release in a long time.
