I was at one of these shows in 1996. I've been listening to Kiss before my teens and consider myself a devoted fan, but not a Kiss maniac. I have no problems skipping an album if I find it not on par with what I expect from them. Now, I've mentioned before many times, I often find them play sloppy or doesn't concentrate to sing directly into the microphone - fiddling too much in live settings. They are just not good enough players to deliver recorded music on an album.
Let us go back to their performances in 1996 again. A friend of mine walked out of the concert hall in disgust becase of their sloppy playing and cringyness. Yeah, you can wonder why he bought a ticket?! Right out of their second song (at the Oslo show in Spektrum), Shout it Loud, drumming played so awful that even a ten year old school boy could've played it better. My friend walked right out, LOL. Now, you have all this documented on this very recording. Just as awful. Just go listen to it on Spotify. Especially check out King of the Night time World; Peter can't even play the suffle beat in the intro of this song. It is just straight beats, LOL. And Ace? He can't sing in time, and he always removes his head and mouth away from the mic constantly, so you can't hear what he sings, and he's off time, which is the most annoying, hurrying himself all the time. Ace was great in the 70's, and my favourite Kiss-member. I love the character in his voice. But live he has never nailed it, vocally, as a guitarist yes, when he is at his best. Please Kiss, give me a favour and stop. Just stop! Still cashing in on FOMO-fans who can't control themselves purchasing these silly Off the Soundboard cardboard packaging awfully-performed-and-sounding-nonsense. Just sad to witness. Take my advice and ignore this and go and buy Alive! and Alive II instead. Can't believe and understand why people wants to buy these Off the Soundboard recordings. "Shock me!" (with Ace live-falsetto, out-of-tune-nonsense hurrying sung off time - please sing after me - especially when he expresses with extra pressure and volume on "ME" after Shock, haha!). Shock ME! haha! Shock ME ! This song is great, but only off the Love Gun studio album. I've never heard one good perfmance of it live.
Take care, and purchase wisely with some quality control.

I ordered the red vinyl version and it has turned up and isn't red at all, it's a plum/purple colour. Has anybody had a red copy?
