- I have heard this, i know someone who has a copy of this but none of the others, it is legitimate as I have heard the full version of "wouldn't you like to be free?" and it wouldn't make sense for someone to just re-record all of the material for a laugh. They understand what they have and they will not upload it, not for any amount of money because they wouldn't want to experience the absolute shit storm that would follow. They do know that other people definitely have the other unreleased albums and its just a matter of time before they appear online (the band has also referenced this in interviews) but it seems like everyone is just way too scared to pull the trigger and i dont blame them. It wouldn't make sense to take photos of it either as there is no album art. I wanna point out though that for the last minute of "wouldn't you like to be free?" everything just becomes soaked in reverb and all kinds of effects until it just becomes white noise at the end. I dont wanna do a whole write up but to me personally it sounded interesting (guitars as synthesizers) but not amazing, if they had stuck with what they sounded like at the time of the recording i think their careers would have ended up differently
- I attempted to buy this release from the seller back in 2008 when it was listed. The seller said they "had a problem with the original buyer" and would sell it to me instead. I sent the money and received nothing but excuses and then silence. This was a SCAM not a sale! The same seller was also selling "Closes Vol. 1". I hope this clears it up!
- Edited 3 years agoI believe this is real.... it has to be... the famous rip of Wouldn’t You Like to Be Free On YouTube resembles the drum style they used in Few Old Tunes. I have never had a moment of doubt Boards of Canada is capable of such mystery, I’m so glad they’re making music still. I’d be fucked without them. Truely
- If anyone had this I am certain that they would of uploaded additional images of the actual CD/EP regardless of it being for sale...
- At least 54 people are only fooling themselves. The only people that have this are Michael, Marcus and maybe a close friend or two. And whatever copies exist are probably on cassettes, unless somebody burned it to a disc.
- Edited 7 years agoIt is a beautiful thing if this EP really does exist. Something to look forward to. Maybe someday to be able to listen to it.
