Of course, the Hawtin mix is the cream of the crop on this release, but the Alph and That Sound mixes are super high quality and dope in their own rights. Excellent release all around

This is why we all loved Richie Hawtin back in the good old days. What happened?

Classic if you like old skool acid house :)

You can't deny the wave of 303 and lush techno

Masterpiece... Would you play the full 20 min track in a deejay set?

I had the fortune to see Hawtin join System 7 live for this number, on a magical Sunday afternoon at Glastonbury '95.

He'd just played a Plastikman set, messing everyone up with his teasing cuts and dropped beats. This wiped out any survivors.

Hilliage and Girauldy were jamming over the top.

                Monstrous. [sigh].

One thing i don't understand is that this is not a remix of the original System 7 track at all, instead it's almost exactly the same as 'Robotman - Do Da Doo (Plastikman's Acid House Remix)' but only twice as long. The main bassline consists of a morphed voice sample taken from 'Dancing Flutes - Do The Do' from 1988.

It's probably all done because of promoting/money issues, System 7 was quite a big act.

This is it. The absolute 'IT' - the best bit of electronic music in the universe. Plastikman's mix is pure acidy techno mania the whole way through, with a relentlessly pumping beat, hi-hats to make your ears catch fire and fall off and screaming liquid acid lines that are inhumanly awesome.

Plus it run for 19 blissful minutes, with an epic breakdown after 10 that practically stops the tune, spends ages teasing that it's going to come back, and eventually kicks off again for a final spurt of acidic spunk all over your face. I let this tune defile me regularly, and I love it like a dirty slut every time. I give it 16 out of 10.

Richie Hawtin adds his acid madness into this track. It's relentless and those that love dark sweaty clubs, with a strobe for added mayhem will love dancing to this groove. Acid like only Hawtin can do !
