Melissa Aldana – 12 Stars

Beautiful music here. Great tenor player and tasteful guitar with a nice warm, round tone. You can tell they collaborate well together. This is my first listen to Melissa and her sound evokes a lot of emotion. My copy is a little warped, but plays clean and sounds great.

Great piece of music form very much talented Melissa Aldana. Mastering is very good - punchy with great instruments' separation and wide soundstage. Unfortunately my copy has too many pops and clicks which take away the pleasure of listening. Also the vinyl is not flat at all. Returning back my copy and counting on good quality replacement.

As perfect as we have any right to wish for and some of the heaviest vinyl I've ever owned but at this point I do feel like they're taunting us with the paper sleeve.

Whatever though, I just wash it and put it in a proper sleeve.

Excellent jazz session of new music. A fresh take on the Blue Note jazz scene. This LP meshes beautifully with the famous sessions of yesteryear, infusing new blood into any jazz collection. Top notch sound, just a joy to listen to…don’t miss out on this one.

My copy is quiet and sounds great, does anybody knows where it was pressed?

A fine album that is musically interesting and deserves more attention. The vinyl is cut by Ian Sefchick and I think he did a very good job. Pressing is done by Optimal and while not absolutely perfect, it's frankly better quality than some recent stuff I've gotten from them. My only real complaint is the paper inner sleeve, which is easily switched out for something better.
