Out of the two "CMFT" albums this one features more of Taylor's infamous "Great Big Neck" growls in comparison to the first installment which sounded more like a Stone Sour record, just without the name of the group that I've always skipped over.
With the #8 channeled into Corey's vocals on "CMFT 2" it allows him to kick more rebel and revolutionary talk than on the previous "CMFT" album which was more introspective.
Still, both parts are all CMFT and though I prefer this one over the first record, there still exists a middle ground on each installment that combines both #8 vocals and Stone Sour type ballads.
Not the best intro to Corey's work though, so I would not recommend this LP to those unfamiliar with his work, nor does any of this series contain the replay value of any Slipknot record. Strictly the CMFT records (should there be another one) are only worth checking out if your a Maggot or bump Stone Sour or read any of Taylor's books. Other than that, as with the groups that Taylor provides vocals in, "CMFT" is a polarizing and exclusive experience meant for die-hards and no one else, which as good as that sound is a problem when what CMFT has to say when he steps in the booth is always important and timeless.
