I understand the above two reviews. I also understand that there are several variables that play into the sound quality here. The label was not a financial success so who knows where the original tapes (if any or all exist) are or were? Magnetic tape needs to be stored in a special way, even then over time it loses quality, particularly high end range and clarity. To get the best possible use from old master tapes they must be baked first before digitizing them. The quality on this disc goes from excellent to fair. I'm fairly sure there was no $$$ for baking tapes when this was released. Another issue is that many of Patrick Adams' releases, when purchased new on vinyl didn't sound as good as today's standards. Poor recording? Poor mixing? Poor mastering? I don't know

I bought this CD for "Come Inside My Love" only to find it is a very very poor copy that sounds like it was taken from an old cassette - just about listenable at home but not suitable for club play.

Some of the audio on this recording is absolute garbage. Still it gives u the feeling of having found some really old vinyl you rescued from the pound.
