Reviews
- My copy has vocals sounding super distorted, I’ve never had this issue on any other record. Sucks cause I was super excited for this.
- The high hats and high samples are too aggresive in the mix. Not a really enjoyable experience listening to this record.
Tested on Hana ML - Rega RP10 - Luxman l-509x - Kef R11. - Edited 4 months agoMy very first album when I was 13.
Glad I owned this album by 1LP. I wait until it comes out.
Besides, this is cut by Chris Bellman. Probably Precision used Optimal plates to press this one.
*2LP of a 37-minute album is really, really weird and wasting the lacquer. - Interesting so many people dislike this. I originally got the RSD aqua press and the chorus mixing was so bad I got rid of it. This repress fixed a lot of that in my ears so. Either I'm not as finicky or I got a better pressing?
- Have to agree with the others on the mix being shit here. It sounds muddy and when it does clear up, the highs are quite distorted. It’s a shame because the album itself one well known to be the type to be killer from to back, but the mix really does drag it down, avoid this pressing.
- Sounds fine overall, no real complaints. Sure the 2xLP version sounds superior but not by any huge amount. I honestly sold my 2xLP version and replaced it with this because having a 37 minute album across 4 sides was just annoying.
- And that's a no from me. This is one of my favorite albums of all time, and this pressing is just a mess. The highs are so compressed I thought my stylus was broken. I've heard 80s compilation LPs with 10 songs per side that have less compression than this.
