This remaster sounds great. Mick seems to be standing right in front of me. This album mostly emphasizes pop over blues rock. It's a little different, but very entertaining.referencing Between The Buttons (LP, Album, Mono) LL 3499
this pressing has a true dedicated mono mix (there is an extra time at the end of the Yesterdays papers), while I have another Canadian mono pressing on the maroon labels which is actually a fold-down mono from the stereo mix. wandering why nobody didnt put any comments on this yet ; ) and if its claimed that all us mono versions are fold-downs does this make this Canadian pressing unique and rare? Yesterdays Papers is not the only song where you can tell the difference, this is an interesting mix.- I always liked this album. A little chaotic, there's a strong "pre-psychedelic" vibe on the album. The Stones made nothing like it. It's a development since Aftermath and not quite the psychedelic mess from Satanic Majesties. And far from the classic rock sound of Beggars banquet and Let it Bleed. Soundwise not a bad sounding release, although I prefer the more punchy sound of the Mono edition.
- Quiet 1967 Japanese 1st press with outstanding sonics and wide stereo separation using a AT VMN50 SH stylus. More instrumental definition and clarity than my NM 1st UK pressing which I purchased in 1967. This Japanese pressing doesn't have the overemphasized brightness like many Japan pressings from this era. The highs, midrange, and base are well represented and crystal clear. The strings on the cellos resonate like I'm in the room with them.
- Dont have another version to compare, but Im loving this mono mix! Tight soundstage with just the right amount of compression and sound separation. Clearly mastered by someone who new how a psych record should sound, which new remasters of this genre generally miss. its not about "hearing" all the details - its about feelin stoned (stones?) Lol.
- The blue label shows the right society "BIEM". So could this be an export record? But for which country?
- Very clear and punchy. The opening to lets spend the night together is memorably clear. Good all rounder.

Is this the 1967 Australian issue? xx xx xx xx- This is a surprising match for the mono edition. Has more that enough umph and vibrancy for a stereo edition of this time like Their Satanic Majesties Request. Another where it is nice to have both mono and stereo originals.
- An underrated more versatile melodic release (less garage/blues rock, more psych/pop – probably Brian Jones influence making his mark playing some unusual instruments & influencing the less bluesy sounds?) w/ better attention paid to arrangements, production & an English music hall quirkiness a la the Kinks. Certainty the production has changed with the drums much louder & the guitar interplay recorded in stereo.
Another classic Stones album.
Note: Some US/UK versions had different track listings with some substituting "Back Street Girl" for "Let's Spend The Night Together" & including “Ruby Tuesday”.
