Reviews
- The remaster is pretty good, open and added some brightness which I'm usually not a fan of but in this case it opens up the production in a nice way. The downside is, at times the sibilance in th vocals gets a bit hissy. But still enjoyable.
- Outstanding final album; this press also sounds great.
My copy has the 2020 etching in runouts but no download card and just a standard paper sleeve. - If you're on the fence about which pressing to get, and worried this second remaster won't match previous pressings, don't be. Furnace did a hell of job on this. Little to zero surface noise, incredible detail, bass, and imaging. Im very impressed with this pressing. I think John Loder's original mastering for vinyl set this record up for future success in repressing. Still available direct from Discord too. I got this on CD the minute it was released back in 2001, this is a wonderful pressing to revisit this monumental album.
- Edited one year agothis pressing sounds amazing - had a problem with the copy i bought in store here in montréal (a skip on the very last track of the b-side) and the good people at dischord sent me a replacement copy that sounds perfect!
this is fugazi's magnum opus and a very moving record that will never get old - To my ears, this sounds great and is surprisingly quiet. Found this for $16 in a store where pretty much everything was marked up $4+ over retail so I was skeptical but so glad I picked this up, good deal. Musically, it's a really powerful album like all Fugazi releases
