Reviews
- Edited 18 years agoPossibly a lesser-known Platipus name but a worthy stablemate to bigger guns such as Art of Trance. Quietman produced an impressive album with 'Shhh' with which you can go merrily tripping across the boundaries between trance, progressive house and ambient.
Particular favourite tracks are 'The Sleeper' (compares well with the best of Astral Projection) and 'Now and Zen' although IMO they are all worth the time. IIRC 'Plastic Gourd' was chosen as a taster for the album and it too is a quality tune.
The CD double album version is worth searching for as the second CD of more ambient tracks features a lot of stuff that sounds like the mellower moments from Union Jack. It's tough to pick stand-out moments on the second CD as the whole thing is very lush and mesmerizing.
Another fine, fine album from the classic Platipus era and at time of writing it is sadly out of print :(
