- Edited 6 months agototally agree the tribal mix is the best version on here the remix CD has the M.S Dance mix that is also good.
as the tribal mix is culture beat signature sound but in my opinion the tribal mix has a better baseline than the original. - Edited 3 years agoThe last single from Culture Beat's second album "Serenity". Love this song, I think this is the best of the four singles from the album. This song sticks out from the other singles. Whereas the first three are pure eurodance songs, "World In Your Hands" is a more downtempo hip-hop kind of song with very dark lyrics compared to the other songs.
World In Your Hands (Radio Edit) - This is just a shorter version of the album version. The best version on the single. Though I do miss the awesome piano melody from the album version in the radio edit
World In Your Hands (Tribal Mix) - A very good remix of the song. Taking the song from downtempo/hip-hop style to a pure eurodance song. Starts with an atmospheric pad intro followed by a synth pluck and then then main sequence melody. When the refrain comes in, the vocals are layered with the beautiful pad from the original. This remix is able to keep the same atmosphere from the original, while at the same time give it a more energy filled atmosphere. Overall a very good remix
World In Your Hands (Extended Version) - This version is a little bit different from the radio edit. The drums are replaced with different drums, and there is a 1.23 long intro with a deep horn pad sound and fx sounds in the beginning. A part from that, the rest is the same. Kind of a pointless version
World In Your Hands (Extended Album Version) - Same as the "Extended Version" but with some minor differences. The pad horn intro is shorter, it stops at 55 seconds. There is also a new piano riff in this version and the piano riff from the album version is also back. Not a big fan of this version either. But I like it more than the "Extended Version"
Overall the single is okay. The "Tribal Mix" is the best part about this single. The "Extended Album Version" could also be an interesting edition to the collection if you are a collector and fan like myself. The "Radio Edit" is also a very good pick if you think the album version is to long. At least they made the extended version(s) different from the album/radio edit while still keeping the feel of the original.
