Reviews
- My copy is very noisy, lots of crackling sounds throughout the record, really noticeable on the opening instrumental track Ajattomasta Unesta which really spoiled it for me. Cleaned it twice with a record cleaner & distilled water and the problem still remains.
It's a bad quality vinyl of an otherwise great album. - My pressing was far from ideal. There was a noise on particular place on vinyl that show up on every song on both sides. It was especially disturbing in quieter parts, but could be heard on full metal songs as well. It went back to the distributor and they returned my money, since other copies they tried had the same problem. I'm not sure whether it's vinyl mixture problem or the discs used to press the vinyl, but it was first time I encounter such a problem - the one that existed on every single song of the album.
Now I've tried other distribution channels (from other country) and colour vinyl instead of black. We will see how it ends.
As for sound quality - dynamics are amazing, however it lacks a bit of lower and higher frequencies. Quality of the recording is great, but I think mastering engineer was too cautious and mastered it so it can play properly without distorting even on low-end turntables. And that's a shame, because it might sound even better if he wasn't so cautious.
That said, I would choose this vinyl release every single time over the digital version as it carries so much more energy of the music and sounds great (and I'm not that kind of guy, who thinks that vinyl is always better).
