- Edited 6 months agoThis album is incredible. After listening to it so many times, when you don’t listen to it for a few weeks and finally come back to it, its like returning to another world. This pressing however is I hate to say it, quite disappointing with having Sequencer and Thor cut in half tearing the atmosphere completely apart, but at least we can somewhat experience this masterpiece on vinyl.
- I was eager to buy this in vinyl, until something stopped me. What were they thinking? I am not willing to have me interrupted in the middle of the first track, standing up, going to my stereo, lifting the tonearm, flipping the disc to side two, placing the needle again... etc. the momentum is gone! the build up is interrupted! You do not do that!. You can fit 25 minutes very well in one side of the LP. There are not much frequencies or bass waves there to gain from splitting the track. I am almost sure KS would not approve. Just saying.
- The music is excellent, one of my favorites from the master. The pressing quality is okay but not the best. All discs have a slight warble and aren't dead center. Nice weight to the vinyl, some scratchyness upon first play. I also think the first song could have been squeezed onto one side, since it's pretty void of any bass frequency. This would have cut down on cost and led to a better listening experience. I could be wrong though, 25 minutes is obviously pushing it and there is more going on there than meets the ear. I think the packaging was a great success. Overall, great music, "okay" pressing, nice packaging.
- Edited 13 days agoBrilliant album! I may prefer this to Schulze's earlier work on any given day. There are some strange mastering choices, like the splits in tracks 1 and 3, but the sound is good. The pressing is not perfect - there are some clicks and pops on my copy - but is more than good enough to be fully listenable and has good detail and tone. Apart from that the cover art is beautiful, but it really should be trifold vinyl cover or box set as 3 vinyls into a double gatefold do not comfortably fit. I've put the second vinyl in the middle of the gatefold for storage. So much carping, but I have to say I'm very glad I got this record. A classic!
- i have to agree with 'giullare' when he says that this is the best klaus schulze album since the 1970's (1977 actually). the first track is excellent. i don't care for the middle track nearly as much, but then the third one gets back in the groove.
- This vinyl reissue sounds great! A clean and clear mix. I’m not sure what the attraction is to having his name etched three times on the final side, but aside from that weirdness - this is absolutely worth the money!
