I too chanced a purchase on this one, and though I by no means am arguing with the majority of the below comments, my sound quality is hovering around acceptable. Not at all great, but acceptable. It does sound a little bit like someone playing the record loudly in the room next to you with the door closed, but it's not so bad I feel like I need to listen to this on a streaming service. It would be nice to see this repressed with some love, but I'll take what I can get.

I decided to buy this pressing although I was aware of the bad comments here. After reading the last ones, I told myself that maybe I could be as lucky as "waggs86". The result is that I got a dull item which completely spoils this fantastic album. Plus, disc two is warped and on side D, the needle is thrust quite violently into the first seconds of the first song. I've also got tiny regular clickings, not terrible, but all in all, it's a shame that companies are allowed to sell such products. They're lucky it's not food and that probably, nobody cares.

Maybe Im missing something, album sounds great. I almost didn't buy my copy due to these reviews. I had a buddy with a copy tell me his was good, so I took a chance and glad I did.

If I'd only read these posts before ordering.. Same experience here. Muddy as mud and shitty as shit.

yeah, was excited to finally add this to my d jurado collection....terribly muddy with no dynamic. the irony is that the hype sticker talks about what an aural delight it will be...

I just put this on again after a while and I thought my stylus was shagged. Been messing around for ages adjusting the EQ to try and get it to sound playable, then checked on here and saw it wasn't just me !!! SC335 Black Vinyl edition. If only I could get my money back !

agreed, it sounds pretty muddy, and way too much low end, luckily i adjust my eq for almost all LP's a put on anyway so I can make due. just weird after listening to the CD so many times, gonna have to get used to it,

Sounds like your ears are covered by fishbowls. Too bad, since the songwriting on this record is absolutely lovely

Helps if you whack the treble up on my set up but yeah disappointing nonetheless same goes for the latest Ryley Walker. I know the demand on the pressing plants is high these days but the quality control on 'new viny' is really really poor the last couple of years and frankly a piss take when you're spending your hard earn't pennies supporting the bands/artists/labels and you end up with a substandard crappy sounding piece of wax. Get your finger out people!

i agree with the bad sound of the vinyl pressing. I played the song that I felt i recognised the most and it just sounded like a completely different song. It was dull and lifeless beyond belief! The sound quality was so dull and overly bassy! did anyone else experience this?
