It seems incredible now that Cooltempo put 'Techno Trance' as the b-side, as they thought 'Yaaah!' was more commercial, but "Techno Trance (Paradise is Now)" pretty much defined a genre and somehow gets better with each passing year. A true classic of the 'dancing in warehouses' years.

5 stars just for Paradise is Now version. Fitted in nicely on the mix tape with KLF What Time is Love, 101 Rock to The Beat Remix, Out of The Ordinary The Dream. Crucial vinyl in the early trance scene.

This is one of the summer tracks of 1990 and got me into the clubscene/rave scene, I remember when I bought it, the same day as the mackenzie a rhythm shot/higher in the sky. These tracks still give me shivers. 1990 for me saw the releases of some extraordinary releases in electronic music 🙌

This will be forever in my thoughts as probably 1 of the best 1990 techno rave tunes ever made, absolutely amazing B1 side, Techno Trance (Paradise Is Now) every old skool gig should be putting this one on the decks, this is what it was all about. certainly makes me feel like pulling gurning faces, HA HA.

This is where my Techno & Trance journey started in1990. Up until then, it was House & Acid House. I still love it all. But this tune was a game changer. I'll never forget the first time I heard it. Thank you D-Shake!

Listened to this in 1990 and hadn't heard anything else like it . It was one of the tunes that got us hooked onto early techno / trance and another track that has stood the test of time. Still been dropped today by DJs and getting a great reaction . Go Bang was such a great label back then , putting out lots of classic tunes that still sound good . Even the new Detox stuff isn't bad which has evolved from this label .

If I had to choose one record as my all-time favorite, this would be it. A hardcore warehouse jam, but with a very fierce "gay" disco bassline that will rock any conceivable dancefloor. The song has a looped "yaaaah" refrain that is downright perverse, punctuated by wooh's from the Little Richard school of self-expression. And yet, the track also has a very tuff hip hop edge, thanks to another sample that goes, "Make some noise!," and militant rat-a-tat-tat drum sticks. (So much street edge, in fact, that Kris Bonez of Genaside II once cited it in an interview as inspiration to make his own sample-based dance music.) In my view, the record is total amalgamation of "gay" and "street" elements which works unlike any other. Peerless.
