Recommendations
Reviews
- agreed jerrysnook - the mastering is muddy and quiet. Still...it's great.
- This is one of my favorite albums, and I was thrilled to pick up this re-issue on 180 gram vinyl. However, I have to issue a WARNING: The mix (or is it re-master?) of this re-issue is all sorts of wrong. It's quite muddy, and also has one of the most bass-forward mixes I have ever heard. It makes the album nearly unlistenable, unless you are able to adjust your equalization to compensate. Even then, with the bass so forward in the mix, it doesn't sound "authentic" to the original at all. I still love this album, and it IS really nice to have on 180 gram, but unfortunately I just can't recommend this re-issue.
