- Excellent-sounding release. The mastering is top notch and a clear upgrade over the CD versions of these tracks. The Spot is a very nice bonus track that sounds really good with very punchy drums and a nice soundstage. I do not think it was ever released on CD. [ Playing this using an Ortofon 2M Black cartridge ]
- Check out the B-side "The Spot"... it's tracks like this make you question what the label was thinking when they chose not to release the "Wanderland" album in the U.S. This is one of the best Neptunes beats I've ever heard, same goes for the fun and innovative A-side and the other cut "Daddy"
- Having already been tipped by Boris Dlugosch as his house record of the year there’s little wonder the buzz around this is pretty exciting. The lead single from the multicoloured ones’ sophomore opus ‘Wanderland’, is a punk-fuelled single of no nonsense funk, with the Brit Award Winner sounding more rock chix then ever. Add Timo Maas’ rough ‘n’ rugged remixes which expertly blend electro influences with thrashing rock guitar, a Prince kick drum and chunky house beats and it’s pretty clear to see what all the fuss is about.
- Some think that this is the only bright spot that Kelis had from her second album, "Wanderland". Again, this features the Neptunes' (a-)typical production skills to the nth degree. The unexpected pleasure, though, is the Timo Maas rockin' mix that shows off his funky side. No doubt this led to Timo & Kelis' collabo, "Help Me". Boris Dlugsoch called it the best remix of 2001. Now, who am I to argue with that?
