- Edited 2 years agoDon't know why Abandon get slagged so often. It's an amazing album. Any fool kno that! Heavy bluesy guitar. Light moments followed by pummeling riffs that knock your socks off. Gillan's ironic inanity. Lord's Hammond full on. I don't hear any nu metal. And maybe some people like Purpendicular better. So what?! This album rocks. Period. '69 and the reborn Bludsucker...COME ON!!! I can't see how one can like the rest of DP's catalogue and not find a place in their hearts for this gem. But hey, I could be Wrong Man.
- In 1996 brought the surprising Deep Purple Purpendicular. Through the input of guitarist Steve Morse, the replacement for Ritchie Blackmore, sounded in 1968 founded the hard rock band fresh and reborn. The new cd Abandon is made in the same occupation and is even better than its predecessor. The band is in top form in songs that float on funky guitar/organ riffs as Any fule kno that, Jack Ruby, She was Evil and Louie. With Seventh Heaven and let the 69 men hear that they have not forgotten how the rock. The quietest number Don't make me happy is the only downside on a further cast-iron plate that proves that Deep Purple still count.
